General Terms & Conditions (GTC)

2. Scope of the GTC
2.1. These GTC apply to the sale of numismatic items (coins, banknotes, collecting accessories) at fixed prices via the webshop operated by the Service Provider.
2.2. The language of the contract is Hungarian.
2.3. Contracts are concluded electronically and are not filed.
3. Applicable Law
These GTC comply in particular with:
- Directive 2011/83/EU (Consumer Rights)
- Directive 2019/771/EU (Sale of Goods)
- Hungarian Act CVIII of 2001 (E-commerce Act)
- Hungarian Civil Code (Act V of 2013)
- Government Decree 45/2014 (II.26.)
- Hungarian Consumer Protection Act (CLV of 1997)
4. Conclusion of Contract
4.1. Products displayed in the webshop do not constitute a binding offer but an invitation to make an offer.
4.2. The order placed by the Buyer constitutes an offer.
4.3. The contract is concluded upon confirmation by the Service Provider.
4.4. The Service Provider reserves the right to reject any order without justification, particularly in cases of risk, payment issues, or prior abuse.
5. Product Characteristics (Numismatic Conditions)
5.1. Products are collectible items and not mass-produced goods.
5.2. Grading represents a professional opinion and may differ from other expert assessments.
5.3. In case of discrepancy, images prevail over descriptions.
5.4. The Buyer acknowledges that numismatic value is subjective and subject to market fluctuation.
6. Prices and Payment
6.1. Prices are indicated in EUR (€) or HUF (Ft).
6.2. Prices are fixed.
6.3. Prices include VAT where applicable.
6.4. Accepted payment methods:
- bank transfer
- Wise
- card payment / PayPal (processing fee may apply)
- cash (by prior arrangement)
6.5. Payment deadline: 5 business days.
6.6. In case of non-payment, the Service Provider may:
- cancel the order
- exclude the Buyer from future purchases
7. Shipping and Risk
7.1. Shipping costs are borne by the Buyer.
7.2. Standard insurance coverage:
- below €500: no insurance
- €500–999: insured up to €500
- €1,000–2,999: insured up to €1,000
- €3,000+: insured up to €3,000
7.3. Higher insurance is available upon request. For amounts above €3,000, a 2% fee applies to the excess value.
7.4. Liability is limited strictly to the insured amount in case of loss, disappearance, or destruction.
7.5. Any event attributable to the Buyer (incorrect address, refusal of delivery) renders the Buyer fully liable for all resulting costs.
8. Right of Withdrawal (Consumers)
8.1. Consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal without giving reasons.
8.2. The withdrawal period begins upon receipt of the goods.
8.3. The right of withdrawal may be restricted or excluded (within legal limits) in the following cases:
- personal collection after inspection
- items marked “sold as is, no return”
- group lots
- low-grade coins (Fine (F) or below)
8.4. In case of withdrawal:
- the Buyer must return the goods at their own expense
- items must not be damaged or altered
9. Warranty and Liability
9.1. Authenticity is guaranteed unless explicitly excluded.
9.2. Claims must be submitted:
- in writing
- within 14 days of receipt
9.3. The following do not constitute defects:
- grading differences
- aesthetic differences in evaluation
9.4. Slabbed coins (NGC, PCGS, etc.):
- grading and authenticity are the responsibility of the grading company
- the Service Provider assumes no liability
9.5. Opening a slab voids all claims.
9.6. Liability is limited to the purchase price.
9.7. Liability for consequential damages is excluded.
10. Buyer Categories
10.1. Consumer: natural person acting outside business activity.
10.2. Business buyer:
- no right of withdrawal
- may only claim authenticity issues
11. Data Protection
11.1. Personal data are processed in accordance with GDPR.
11.2. Details are set out in a separate privacy policy.
12. Legal Disputes
12.1. Governing law: Hungarian law.
12.2. Jurisdiction: courts of Budapest, subject to mandatory consumer protection rules.
12.3. The consumer has the right to contact a conciliation board.
13. Final Provisions
13.1. The Service Provider may amend these GTC unilaterally.
13.2. Amendments enter into force upon publication.
