What is Grading?
Grading is the independent verification of authenticity, professional assessment of condition and secure encapsulation (“slabbing”) of coins and banknotes by a recognized third-party authority.
The result of grading is an internationally recognized certification confirming that the item has been examined by specialists who have authenticated it and determined its precise condition.
The grading process includes:
- Verification of authenticity
- Determination of condition according to standardized criteria
- Encapsulation in a tamper-evident holder (slab) containing the grade, identification details and a unique certification number
The certification number allows global verification of the item through the grading company’s database, providing transparency and increased buyer confidence.
Grading enhances marketability, liquidity and trust — particularly in auction and investment contexts.

We are an authorized partner of Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC), the world’s largest third-party coin grading service, and Paper Money Guaranty (PMG), the world’s leading banknote grading authority.
Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC)
Founded in 1987, NGC has certified more than 50 million coins. Each certified coin receives:
- Independent authentication
- Professional grade assessment
- Secure encapsulation
- A unique certification number
- Coverage under the NGC Guarantee of authenticity and grade
NGC certification is widely recognized in international auctions and collector markets.
Paper Money Guaranty (PMG)
PMG is the world’s largest paper money grading service, with more than 6 million banknotes certified. Each PMG-certified banknote is:
- Authenticated by specialists
- Professionally graded
- Encapsulated in a secure holder
- Registered under a globally verifiable certification number
- Covered by the PMG Guarantee of authenticity and grade

The grading fees charged by NGC and PMG are subject to VAT and depend on the declared value and selected service level.
Our Handling Fee
- Declared value up to €3,000 – €30
- €3,001 to €10,000 – €50
- €10,001 to €25,000 – €100
- Above €25,000 – €250
This fee covers administrative handling, preparation, submission coordination and return processing.
Shipping, insurance and the official grading fees of NGC or PMG are charged separately according to the selected service tier.
